Smectalia caramel cocoa sachets  are used to treat short-term, acute diarrhea in adults and children over 15 years of age. This treatment is a complement to dietary measures.

The active substance of this drug is  diosmectin,  which works by protecting the digestive tract.

The other ingredients are:  Xanthan gum, citric acid monohydrate, ascorbic acid, potassium sorbate, sucralose, caramel-cocoa flavor (mixture of natural and synthetic flavors, caramel color (E150d), caramelized sugar syrup), propylene glycol, water , ethanol, caffeine., purified water.
 
Dosage of Smectalia cocoa caramel flavor
In the event of acute diarrhea , it will be necessary to start by taking 1 sachet (3 g) then take 1 additional sachet after each new unmolded stool, without exceeding 6 sachets per day.

The treatment should be of short duration and not exceed 3 days without medical advice. 
Be careful if the symptoms persist beyond three days or if they worsen after 2 days of treatment (by blood in the stool, dehydration) you must quickly consult a doctor. 

It is first necessary to thin the suspension, by kneading the sachet between the fingers before opening it. Then the contents of the sachet can be swallowed pure or diluted in a little water before use.

This medication should be taken between  meals and other medications.
